Chester King began a colorful career in crime-fighting under the name Hyper-Boy while still in his teens. He later become known as Hyper-Man as an adult.
Hyper-Man explains to Superman in (Act No. 265, Jun 1960: "The 'Superman' from Outer Space"):
"Landing on a smaller planet which had light gravity, I gained Super-Powers! I was found and adopted by dad and mom King in a small town! I assumed a secret identity as Chester King, their son, and began a crime-fighting Career as Hyper-Boy!"
