A cunning criminal who, clad in a flame-resistant asbestos suit, ignites a parked fuel truck with incendiary bullets and then lunges through the resulting flames to steal the priceless Fabian diamonds from a dockside customs office. Smilter and his accomplice are apprehended by Batman and Superman in May-June 1952, however, while attempting to escape by helicopter from the deck of the cruise ship Varania (S No. 76/1: "The Mightiest Team in the World!").
