Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603)
The queen of England and Ireland from 1558 until her death in 1603. Superman meets Elizabeth l and, at her urging, joins forces with her in an elaborate scheme to help defeat the Spanish Armada, during a time-journey to England in the year 1588 (S No. 89, May 1954: “Captain Kent the Terrible!â€) (TGSB).
