Cyrus Walters
The owner of a fabulous gem collection which Superman has agreed to transport and protect when it is put on display at a charity exhibition. In an effort to prevent Superman from being entrusted with the gems, a development which would make the gems virtually impossible to steal, a gang of jewel thieves sets in motion an elaborate scheme designed to make Superman appear to be an irresponsible super-bungler unfit for duties of any kind involving the use of his super-powers. Superman ultimately sees through the scheme, however, and apprehends the criminals in February 1954 (S No. 87/2: “Superman’s Super-Boners!â€) (TGSB).
