Winged Ones
Winged Ones are large, white, dragon-like beasts considered sacred by Kryptonians (S No. 164, Oct 1963: "The Fugitive from the Phjantom Zone!"). One example survives the destruction of Krypton and lives in Kandor.
The hero Dakar-Ra rides a Winged One when warning Krypton of a coming alien invasion (SPJO No. 101, Apr 1967: "Olsen's TIme-Trip to Save Krypton!").
