The Penguin
Oswald Cobblepot is born to privelege and wealth but is ostracized because of his bizarre appearance and mannerisms (first appearance, Detective Comics No. 58, Dec 1941 [untitled story]). Nevertheless a man of distinction and affectations, the Penguin carries out crimes and indulges his love of birds and the trappings of the good life. The Penguin is normally an enemy of Batman, but engages Superman when he joins forces with Terra-Man (WF No. 261, Feb/Mar 1980: "Showdown at Gotham City!").
