A teen-aged newsboy with a hearfelt ambition to become a reporter, who wins a contest for newsboys sponsored by the Daily Planet, and with it a cherished cub reporter's post on the Planet staff, by courageously helping Superman expose and apprehend a ring of ration-book counterfeiters in Summer 1945 (WF No. 18: "The Junior Reporters!:).
