Absorbium
Strange elemental isotope that has the power to absorb energy from energy sources or matter. Absorbium is present on Earth in at least small amounts, and plays a critical role in de-activating Eterno one billion years in the past (Act No 343, Nov 1966: "Eterno, the Immortal!") and in destroying the Sun-Eater 1,000 years in the future (Adv No. 353, Feb 1967: "The Doomed Legionaire!").
