A champion of the planet Makkor. He appears in the [[Fortress of Solitude]] after [[Supergirl]]'s death. When confronted by the grieving [[Superman]], he explains how he came to be Supergirl's husband. He encountered the unconscious Supergirl in space. She had collided with a green [[kryptonite]] meteor and was close to death. Salkor nursed her back to health, however she was suffering from amnesia. Salkor gives her the name [[Jasma]] and they fall in love, marry and fend off an alien attack by [[Naxx]]. When her original memories returned, Supergirl had no recollection of the marriage until her battle with the cosmically powered [[Blackstarr]]. The daughter of [[Jor-El]]'s brother, [[Zor-El]] and his wife, [[Alura]]. She is [[Superman]]'s cousin. Kara was born in deep space aboard the fragment of [[Krypton]] containing [[Argo City]] enclosed in a protective bubble.

Upon it's tragic destruction by a deadly meteor shower that ripped through the lead shielding and exposing the Anti-[[Kryptonite]], Kara was rocketed to Earth as a teen by her parents where she first met her famous cousin, Superman.

Kara/Supergirl was Superman's secret emergency weapon when he was away on a mission and was unable to respond to a distress signal. Supergirl kept her true nature hidden under the secret identity of [[Linda Lee]].

Supergirl's alternate identity is a closely held secret, but it is known to Superman, to her foster parents the Danverses, and to the [[Legion of Super-Heroes]], of which she served as a member until resigning her membership at the age of twenty-one. Supergirl is fully aware that her cousin Superman is secretly [[Clark Kent]]. Like all [[Kryptonian]] survivors, Supergirl is vulnerable to kryptonite.

She finally was adopted by [[Fred and Edna Danvers]] and then revealed to the world by Superman in an exciting serial in the pages of Action Comics. She later joined the [[Legion of Super-Heroes]].

Upon arriving in America, the newly christened [[Wonder Woman]] was in dire need of a way to watch over the injured Steve Trevor. As fate would have it, she met a young army nurse named Diana Prince who was heart broken over her separation from her fiancee Dan White. The young [[Amazon]] noticed her striking resemblance to the nurse and proposed an identity swap. This would, of course, be the perfect solution to both the dilemas, since the [[Amazon]] Princess was a trained nurse herself. An exchange of money was made and both parties went on their separate ways.

While Earth 2 Diana Prince remained a career military officer, Earth 1 Diana Prince went through a series of jobs. They included the Air Force, NASA astronaut, UN Travel guide and boutique owner. Eventually both Diana's would marry their Steve's and the Earth 2 pairing would see the birth of a daughter, Lyta.
